In this situation, the movement of the spring increases and decreases the length of the shock absorber. The rear and front shock absorber bushings actually play an auxiliary role for the car's shock absorbers and prevent heavy blows to the shock absorber. These bushings usually play the largest share in the front line of receiving blows to the car, and the rest of the energy released from the bushings is transferred to the springs and ultimately to the springs.
